Saturn LP 91379, Omniverse, was issued in 1979. Personnel and location courtesy of Samarai Celestial. What appeared to be a test pressing was played by Sun Ra on WKCR-FM in April 1987; according to Samarai is a reference to the West End of Birmingham, where the musicians used to hang out. (Also, during the Italian concerts in July, Sun Ra referred to three of his saxophonists as the "West End Trio," according to Francesco Martinelli.) Samarai says that overdubbing was used on one number (probably "Visitant of the Ninth Ultimate:): Ra played both piano parts and also overdubbed a drum part!
