According to Ahmed Abdullah, the Arkestra played opposite Miles Davis and Pat Metheny, among others. There is a 15-minute-long Japanese TV broadcast, which includes a slightly edited version of the opening improvisation; there is also a 30-minute radio broadcast from this concert. Correct date from Hartmut Geerken. The name of the Arkestra defeated the best efforts of the Japanese announcer to give it in English. The radio broadcast concludes with a snippet of "Discipline 27" under the closing credits.
